Messi and Rakitic in squad for Clásico in Madrid

Luis Enrique has named an 18 man squad for the game in the Santiago Bernabéu against Real Madrid 

Rafinha and Douglas are out due to injury - Bartra and Masip also miss out

The day before travelling to Madrid, FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has announced his squad for Saturday’s Clásico against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu  on Saturday at 6.15pm CET. The squad list includes the names of Leo Messi and Ivan Rakitic who both return after recovering from injury. The Argentine is available once again following the knee problem which has kept him out since the game against Las Palmas on 26 September.
Ivan Rakitic, for his part, is also back after recovering from a calf strain picked up on 4 November against BATE Borisov in the Champions League. Luis Enrique has chosen an 18 man squad to take to Madrid with Rafinha and Douglas missing due to injury and Bartra and Masip not travelling.
The full list is as follows: Ter Stegen, Claudio Bravo, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio, Alves, Iniesta, Luis Suárez, Leo Messi, Neymar Jr, Mascherano, Munir, Jordi Alba, Sandro, Sergi Roberto, Adriano, Vermaelen andMathieu.

Final training session before Clásico

Before the squad was named the FC Barcelona first team have trained this Friday for the final time before their visit to the Santiago Bernabéu on  The session took place at Camp Tito Vilanova at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper and coach Luis Enrique put the final touches to his squad’s preparations for the game against Real Madrid. For the second day in a row he was able to call on all his available players along with the U19 player Paik. As such the Barça coach has all his major weapons available as the blaugranes aim to stretch their lead over their rivals at the top of the table.
