Arson Investigation Underway At Monrovia High School; Juvenile Arrested

MONROVIA (CBSLA.com) — A juvenile suspected of intentionally setting fire to Monrovia High School has been arrested, police said Monday.
According to the Monrovia Fire Department, the third alarm blaze erupted shortly after 12:30 a.m., located in the 800 block of West Colorado Boulevard.

Upon their arrival, authorities located flames and heavy smoke pouring out of the third floor of the building.
According to detectives, the fire erupted within the counseling office on campus.
Witnesses said they saw the boy throw something through a window to start the fire.
At this time, it remains unclear if the fire will affect classes this morning.
Authorities have not clarified if the suspect attends classes at the school.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
