Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole both shared new tracks for Black Friday (November 27). Well, the two tracks weren’t exactly ‘brand new’ per se. Both rappers laid down new freestyles over each other’s previously released songs.
With both tracks aptly titled “Black Friday,” Lamar’s remix is a freestyle cover of J. Cole’s 2014 song “A Tale of 2 Citiez” from his Forest Hills Drive album while J. Cole’s “Black Friday” remix finds the North Carolina rapper flowing a new freestyle over Lamar’s 2015 smash “Alright”.

Lamar and Cole released the songs today without warning and labeled them as gifts to their fans.
